The U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik and the Blue Army environmental NGO are pleased to invite you and your colleagues to participate in our annual Beach Clean-Up Day at Sandvík on September 13. This is an open invitation, so we encourage all nature lovers to join us for this important community service event to help protect the environment. Please share this invitation with your friends, family and other associates.
The Embassy will provide a bus for volunteers to ride there and back. After our hard work, the U.S. Embassy will provide refreshments for all. Seating on the bus is limited, so please RSVP soon in order for us to ensure sufficient seats and refreshments for all.
Departure will be at 09:00 from Ráðhús Reykjavik (City Hall), and the estimated return time is 15:00. You are also welcome to drive to Sandvik separately and meet the group on site (GPS coordinates 63°51’21.6″N 22°41’44.0″W). We encourage carpooling. Please dress appropriately, in layers, with sturdy shoes, gloves and rain/wind layer.
Further information can be found in the attached invitation.
Please RSVP to ReykjavikProtocol@state.gov before September 12. We hope to see you there!
